Grants Application Instructions


Applicants please read the instructions. This will help to ensure that you have supplied all the information to the committee that is considering your funding request. If you have further questions, please contact Dawn Hennen, Chair, at 813-634-3713.
The Interfaith Social Action Council allocates grants twice a year in keeping with its annual budget. The application period for the fall is September 1st to 30th and for the spring January 1st to 31st.
The Interfaith Social Action Council reserves the right to request organizations apply for funding one time per calendar year and submit one funding request at a time.
Grants are awarded to 501(c)(3) organizations and to schools with a 85-8012621971-c-8 designation who have complied with IRS and federal tax codes. Grants are not awarded to individual(s).
Grants are made to organizations located with our geographical boundaries. Geographical boundaries are: Alafia River on the north, Hillsborough County line on the east and south, and Tampa Bay on the west.
Organizations not located within our geographical boundaries must submit documentation as to the percentage of students, clients, patients, being impacted or served who reside within our boundaries. We support programs and projects that impact health, education, and human services of your clientele. We support equipment and supplies that needed to execute the program/project excluding salaries and administrative cost.
All applications must include (1) Request for Funding (form found on web site), (2) Grant Proposal (form found on web site), (3) appropriate financial information to include cost of the project. Include your organization's Federal ID number (required) on the Request for Funding form. All school requests must include a letter from the school principal indicating support of the project.
Notification of Grant Results
The "responsible party" will be notified by US Mail at the address listed on the application.
